Topping the sale at $6,000
was the beautiful James daughter, Pineyvale Jody James. Consigned by
David Post, Hobart, NY, Jody is VG as a 2-year-old and due in July
to Penn-Gate Finest sexed semen. She was purchased by Mark & Cindy
Tompkins, Montrose, PA.
At $5,100, a first choice female by Lawn Boy P-Red from Golden-Oaks
Rmn Rae 2-Red-ET was the second high seller. Rae is a polled daughter
of Golden-Oaks Perk Rae-Red-ET (VG-86) and both hail from an attractive
Red branch of the Roxy family. Consigned by Kulpdale Farm, Manheim,
PA., the choice was purchased by Stephen Martin, Myerstown, PA.
An Advent-Red fall calf from Jericho Dairy, Lake Como, Pa., was the
third high seller at $4,800. This red & white beauty was the purchase
of Co-Vale Holsteins, Preble, NY, and is a potential ninth generation
Very Good or Excellent.

This dispersal featured deep pedigrees and high production!
Two animals tied for sale topper at $4900 – one was L-V-R
Jeb Dahlia Darling-ET, a 6/05 Benner Jebadiah daughter due
in June to Shottle from a VG-87 dam that has sons in AI.
She was purchased by Gordon Cook of Hadley, MA. Also
bringing $4900 was a 3/07 Goldwyn daughter from Meadows-LLC
D Susanna, an EX-90 full sister to Mr Sam at Select Sires.
Her next dam is the well-known Emory daughter, Sher-Est
Emory Swanny EX-90. The calf went to Oakfield Dairy,
Oakfield, NY. At $4400, Daniel Meier of Fort Covington, NY
took home Star-Bar Best Bar, a Hidden-View Best daughter
milking 85# due in November to Dundee from an EX-90 Manfred.
L-V-R Redman Reba-Rose ended at $4300 to Dev Hurley of
Marion, NY. Rose is a 12/05 Redman daughter bred to Goldwyn
from Long-Haven Prelude Reba, a tenth generation Excellent
from the Pinehurst Audrey Posch family. For $3900 each, Don
& Joanne Hosking of Hobart, NY took home a pair of 12/06
Durham ET full sisters from Mayerlane-DK Mistress, an 8th
generation Excellent with 30,830M. |

favorite show animals at Fantasy Found: R-E-W Miss Carlow, a
12/04 Astronomical fresh in February from a VG-86 Lheros
with 34,190M & 1363F. She has an EX-93 Aeroline 2nd
dam that was Res. All-American Jr Two-Year-Old in 2001. Her
3rd dam is the EX-96 3E Carlow Leader 174,
All-American Jr Three-Year-Old in 2000. Ms Roedale Fashlyn,
a VG Derry fresh with her second calf, sold for $4400 also
to Gordon Wood. She is backed by an EX-91 Storm with over
30,000M and an EX-92 full sister to Tri-Day Ashlyn EX-96.
The Derry’s 3/06 Goldwyn and 3/07 Toystory daughters sold
for $2900 and $1700 to Don & Joanne Hosking of Hobart, NY.
Brett & William Benton of Troupsburg, NY went home with
Hunterhaven Lady for $4600, the only Excellent Goldwyn in
the country. For $3000, the Bentons also took home a show
prospect, a VG Counselor from and EX-94 3E dam with
46,000M. From the famous All-American Clarnell Linjet
Sunshine EX-94 2E, Mountfield Farms of Marcellus, NY claimed
her fancy, springing Astronomical daughter for $4000. |
